The Dark - Hope & Healing

In those quiet, dark moments of the wee hours of the night is when those suitcases snick open and out creeps guilt, hand in hand with loneliness and self recrimination. They unite in one goal-to steal us of our sleep and rob us of our rest.

Their weapons are fear or longing for something different, a different outcome or outlook. A change in what is- and that has the power to set us up for failure in the glare of the pending sunrise. The baggage weighs us down before a new dawn can even emerge. We arise tired and defeated before we ever put foot to the floor.

You don’t have to live like this. You don’t have to fight this battle, it’s already been won. Worry and fear, loneliness and grief don’t need to cripple us.

We have a Savior that has already seen every day of our life even before we have lived it. He waits with arms open wide to embrace us with that glorious peace that passes all understanding. He provides all we would ever need to put that baggage down and walk in His freedom; all for His glory.

Psalm 52: 8-9 “I trust in the steadfast love of God forever and ever.
I will thank you forever because you have done it!”
