Chaos, Fear, Anxiety, Grief, Change, Hurt
All of these words and others like them can bring overwhelming stress into our lives. We ALL experience them, and oftentimes they can create a set of baggage that we choose to carry with us, day in and day out. We’re weighed down with them: bumbling and struggling our way through day to day life. Dragging them behind us like folks in an airport simply trying to reach our destination. If we’re honest with ourselves we’re not living the life our Father wants for us or that we even want for ourselves.
The burdens and baggage simply steal our time, our energy, our joy.
We can’t control emotions when they come hard and heavy. What we can control is how we respond, how we react when overwhelmed. This is the time we can snuggle closer to our Lord, like a toddler that needs to be carried to finish the long trek back home.
2Titus 4:17 “But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, that through me the message might be fully proclaimed.”
As we need He provides.
As we grieve He comforts.
As we stress He brings peace.
It is in Him alone we find light and Wisdom to see in the darkness.
May we all find His strength to simply let go and just let Him do what He does best.
