Who We Are
We are men who seek to love and honor God
- by fulfilling His Great Commission,
- by modeling our lives after the perfect man Jesus,
- by genuine and meaningful fellowship with other men,
- by sharing His love and purpose through service and encouragement, and
- by discipling others to love God through prayer and study of Scripture.
Scriptural Foundations
Everything that we do should lead back to Matt 22.36-40 (Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind and love your neighbor as yourself) and Matt 28.16-20 (Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you).
FCC Men's Ministry hopes to help men connect/stay connected to Jesus (John 15.5), find/follow God’s perfect plan for our lives (1 John 1.6-7), and mature in our faith and our friendships with others (Acts 2.42)
-
Fellowship (Hebrews 10.24-25, Romans 1.11-12, Proverbs 27.17, Galatians 6.2, 1 Corinthians 9.19-23, John 13.34)
-
Service (1 Peter 4.10 &11, Mark 10.45, 2 Chronicles 15.7, Romans 12.9-13, Romans 15.2)
-
Discipleship (Luke 9.23-24, Colossians 1.28-29, Proverbs 3.1-2, 2 Timothy 3.16-17, Psalm 68.19, Romans 12.12, Philippians 4.5-7 )

Fishing N Fellowship Recap Thursday Sept 12th 5:30-7:30pm
Men's Ministry had a great time at the 2024 Fishin' & Fellowship. Jody "King of Cats" Adams was, to no one's surprise, top angler of the night, hauling in EIGHT catfish, including biggest of the night. "Big Fish" Bob Hanna had an early morning the next day so he couldn't stay as long as he would have liked, but still managed to haul one in during the short time he was there. Danger Dave proved not so dangerous to the fish, only bringing on 2 during the six hours he was there (and only got those thanks to alot of help from Jody). It was a really great night. Thanks to the men who were there and thanks to God for His wonderful creation. If you are interested in our devotion for the night, please head over to our blog following the the link above and search "Fishin".

Men's Service Project Recap October 12 2024
Our fall service project was small in numbers but mighty in Spirit! We had the opportunity to serve in a variety of ways- trimming hedges, weeding, cleaning gutters and general yardwork. But the biggest blessing was getting to spend a little time with some amazing women. Big thanks to everyone who prayed for this project and a special thanks to Matt Holley for all the work he did setting this up and for the thousand other things he does for the church. But the biggest thanks for the ladies who took time out of their day to fellowship with us: Darling Deanna, Wonderful Wilma and Fabulous Jackie. You gals are such a blessing to FCC Grayson!
FCC Grayson really showed up at the Trunk or Treat event. It was awesome and thanks to everyone who was involved. For the Men's Ministry, we had two tables set up: one with candy and a craft and another with cotton candy. Big thanks to Britt Bush, Noah Beck, Connor Layne and Grant Mennix for helping these run so smoothly for the men (and anyone else who helped, men or women). Also thanks to Jacob Green and Matt Holley for all their work behind the scenes. What a great time! Bonus pic of my little man Davey who was less than thrilled with his lion costume by the end of the night.

Men's Prayer Breakfast
Recap of Sat Nov 23rd
What a great way to start a Saturday! We had a great time at the last men's ministry prayer breakfast. Lots of laughs, good food and fellowship. Big thanks to Jack Strother, Michael Messer (and Alisa) for helping supply the food, & Matt Holley for pitching in while we were in the kitchen. Special thanks to Britt Bush for not only cooking an incredible breakfast, but for sharing a devotion on unity and support from 2 Samuel. A really enjoyable day and we plan on having three of these next year.
Cheery Chaps Christmas Caroling Recap
Sunday Dec 22nd
We moved this event so we could go with children's ministry. It was absolute chaos with a different time, plans getting canceled, wrangling kids. And it turned out way better than we could have ever hoped. Sometimes I think we plan so much we crowd out the Holy Spirit. This was just such a blessing, we had a really big crowd and just had the best time. Thanks so much to the men who came and to the kids who sang their hearts out (and apologies to anyone who had to stand beside me during the singing ;)
2025 Independent Bible Study Sign-Ups
Please sign up in the church lobby by or before Sun Dec 22nd
FCC Grayson will be covering the book of Proverbs for a large part of next year. For those who are wanting to dive further into God's Word, in a way that completments our Sunday sermons, Men's Ministry will be doing a parallel independent study using Proverbs- Tyndale Old Testament Commentary by Lindsay Wilson. FCC will be providing a monthly reading list to any men interested and supporting this with devotions on the FCC Grayson app. Cost will be $5 per book and we ask that you sign up for this in the church lobby by or before Sunday Dec 22nd so we can get the books ordered and into your hands early in 2025.
