Kids Ministry at First Church

DURING COVID-19/CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC

We are releasing new video lessons, and multiple fun and creative posts each week for our kids during this time.

We are excited to be meeting in-person again! We have been in communication with local school administrators and health officials to try to determine the best way to love and care for your kids in this season. As with schools and other organizations, we are continuing to stay up-to-date on CDC recommendations.

Kid's Church (10:30 AM Service) is our Sunday morning worship experience that is designed specifically for them!

During our 10:30 AM service, we meet in a large group in the FLC blue room to learn about God through worship, music, Bible teaching, games, and activities.

Our pre-school students will be in the FLC Green room, and our nursery age kids will be in the main building.

We are asking kids 3 and up to wear masks. We are also asking for your help with self-screening. Temperature checks will be available at our check-in station, but we ask that if your child, or anyone in household is running a fever, or a showing symptoms, please keep them at home.

We have plenty of sanitizer and we have, and will continue to clean like crazy!!

Ultimately, we respect whatever decision you and your family make. We are very excited for this reopening!

Our Sunday school teachers are mailing/emailing packets of lessons, crafts, games, etc. to our kids during this time.

If you would like to be a part of these video lessons, you can find our YouTube page by clicking on the link.

If you would like to receive materials for you kids by mail, send us your name, address, and request by email us here

At FCC our kids (infant through 5th grade) experience safe, age-appropriate environments where they learn about Jesus in a creative and relevant way.

We would love to see you and your family visit FCC Kids.

Your first visit

Here's what to expect when visiting the first time:

First, find the area marked for first-time families. There we will meet your family, check your child into our system, and then one of our volunteers will lead your child to their age-appropriate room.

Upon checking in for the first time, we will ask for the following personal information (NOTE: We value your privacy and will not share this information with anyone):

  • Parent/guardian name(s)
  • Child's name
  • Child's birthdate
  • Home address
  • Phone number
  • Any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your children

How check-in works

Before Service: You can check-in your child at any available kiosk. After finding your child’s name in the database, you and your child will be given matching name tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you hold on to the matching tag.

After Service: After the service is complete, you will return to your child’s room and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.

During Service: In the event that we need to contact you during the service, your child’s identification code will appear on the screen. We ask that you exit the auditorium immediately and look for a staff member or volunteer who will direct you to your child’s room.
